The convention seminar's are still in the works to give you the best & learning more of Lions Club information for you to take back to your Lions Clubs.
Lions Clubs International is about all of us working together to make a difference in our world and society, providing service. One thing the Covid-19 Pandemic has taught us is that we NEED each other. We missed people when we couldn't be around them. So we would like to showcase your top service or fundraiser project from your club to help give back to your community.
Your project to showcase will be in the convention hallway with a 8 foot table. You can make a display board, have examples of the equipment or items you use &/or handouts for other club members to take back to their clubs to use to help them. You may want club members to alternate times when sessions are changing out to answer any questions that fellow Lions might have. But it's not necessary to stay there through the whole convention that you will miss out on.
All clubs are encouraged to participate in the Parade of Banners as the very first item on the Convention Agenda.
Here is how it works:
~ All the Banner carriers meet PROMPTLY at 8:00,
~ Bring you banner, with stand and base, if you have them, in the hallway just outside the meeting room for detailed instructions. (If your club does not have a staff and/or stand, I will have one for you. Be EARLY to ask for it.)
~ At promptly 8:30, District Governor Theresa Kee will tap the Gong. That is our cue to begin the Parade.
~ A Lion will announce each club in order, and the Banner carrier(s) will "Parade" their banner along the designated route, placing their banner in their club's stand. When all club banners have been set, the carriers will be asked to "Be Seated".
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your club's Banner and carrier are late, they will be placed at end of the parade, and may not be recognized/announced from the podium.
If you have any questions, please contact PDG James Rosbrugh firstname.lastname@example.org
